Effective October 1, 2025, the State of Washington enacted Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5814 (ESSB 5814), which requires retail sales tax to be applied to tuition payments for services designated as “live presentations,” including educational programs like the one offered by Alexandar School of Natural Therapeutics. As a result, Enrollment Agreements signed after October 1, 2025, must include Washington State retail sales tax at the applicable rate, in addition to all previously published fees and charges.
