Our Instructors

Bill Thompson, LMT
Certified Zen Bodytherapy® Practitioner, Certified Zen Triggerpoint® Practitioner, Advanced Zentherapy Practitioner® - Owner/President.
Bill has over 40 years of experience in Body Centered Therapies, and has worked the past 30 years in structural integration. Bill was tutored by one of the most internationally recognized master body workers, William "Dub" Leigh, and is one of the few people certified by "Dub" to teach Zen Bodytherapy® and Zen Triggerpoint Anatomy®. At ASNT, Bill teaches Triggerpoint and Myofascial work as part of the core curriculum. He also teaches advanced classes in Zen Triggerpoint Anatomy® and Zen Bodytherapy® as Continuing Education Units. Bill integrates a variety of modalities from his past work in structure, movement, and energy into his classes.

Charles Bateman, LMT
Charles is a full-time massage therapist and Instructor. He graduated in 2018 and specializes in Triggerpoint and Myofascial Release, Berry Method, Intra-oral, Zen Body Therapy, and Injury Treatment. He participates in many courses, such as Anatomy and Kinesiology, Hydrotherapy, On-site massage, and Triggerpoint and Myofascial Release.

Linda Bucher, LMT
Linda graduated from Alexandar School of Natural Therapeutics in 2005. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine with an Aromatherapy Major from the American College of Health Care Sciences in Portland, OR. Linda received her Small Animal Massage Certification from the Northwest School of Animal Massage, Reflexology Certification from the International School of Reflexology & Meridian Therapy, and has also trained in Indian Scalp Massage and Chair Massage. Linda is an active part of the American Massage Therapy Association Washington State Chapter and the Washington State Sports Massage Team. Linda teaches Practice Management, Chair Massage & Reflexology.

Craig Chappelle, LMT
Craig graduated from ASNT in 2003 after a career as an athlete and personal trainer. Pain accumulated from sports injuries, a rigorous training regimen, and several physically demanding jobs led Craig to a new career in massage. He specializes in blending Structural Integration with Swedish Techniques, and emphasizes breath, proper body alignment, and energy work.

Stewart Deschamps, LMT
Stewart is a part-time massage therapist, student clinic supervisor, and Instructor. He graduated in 2020 and specializes in forms of Swedish massage, cupping, Intra-oral, and Injury treatment. He participates in Swedish Massage I, Ethics, Chair Massage, Medical Documentation, and Clinical Experience.

Kaylee Kaniss, LMT
Kaylee is a full-time massage therapist and Instructor. She graduated in 2014 and specializes in Triggerpoint and Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, Cupping, Intra-oral, Zentharapy® Bodytherapy®, and Injury Treatment. She is our Director of School Operations, tracking student academic progress through the program and manages Staff and Faculty. Kaylee participates in Anatomy and Kinesiology, Medical Documentation, Prenatal, and Chair Massage.

Courtney Soren, PTA
Courtney Soren graduated from the Exercise Science Program at the University of Puget Sound in 2008, completed a PTA program at Whatcom Community College in 2012, and has worked in the industry, performing various PT aide tasks and managing clinics. She participates in our Assessment Course.

Sarah Smith, LMT
Sarah is a full-time massage therapist and Instructor. She graduated in 2020 and specializes in Injury treatment, Intraoral, Reiki, and Zentherapy® Bodytherapy®. She manages our online student portal and participates in Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Experience, Medical Documentation, Pathology, and State Board Prep.

Jon Stefan, LMT
Jon is a full-time Licensed Massage Therapist in Tacoma, WA. After graduating from ASNT, Jon studied Zen Bodytherapy®, Zen Triggerpoint Anatomy®, Lymphatic Drainage, Berry Method, Sports Massage, and Ethics. Jon has been a clinic supervisor and teaching assistant at ASNT and is now a full faculty member.
